Technologically advanced, our water based asphalt release agent works through a process where free alkalinity engages the reactive carboxylic acid groups that are found in asphalt. The reaction creates a non-stick barrier between the asphalts and the surface. The surfactant coating also changes the "work of adhesion" which, combined with the modification of the asphalt surface, prevents the asphalt from sticking to another surface such as metal or rubber.
