Purpose Of The Job
Under the direct supervision of the Vice President, this position develops and executes the company’s overall marketing efforts. This role will develop innovative ideas that tie together all marketing disciplines (video, web content, social media, blogs, etc.) in order to bring brand awareness to target markets.
Each quarter the Marketing Coordinator will establish, with the Vice President, the specific results, improvements, or accomplishments required to support HCS and departmental objectives. These are expressed as ROCKS.
Essential Job Duties
Following processes and procedures according to the “HCS Way”
Content Creation of all marketing media
Create marketing content calendar and execute to meet deadlines.
Maintain consistent branding; adjusting message among various platforms.
Trade Show follow-up strategies
Establish and maintain Social Media accounts
Align content with SEO tactics
Create Marketing campaigns for various HCS departments
Partner with sales team to reach sales goals and objectives
Stay highly organized while multi-tasking across multiple departments.
Performs other duties as necessary in support of business objectives. The intent of this position description is to guide the activities of the Marketing Coordinator. It is not intended to limit the thinking and creativity of the person to the work of this function. Educational & Experience Requirements
High School Degree (GED)
Bachelor degree in Marketing preferred
Typing test and position aptitude tests
Basic understanding of SEO/SEM and CMS (WordPress preferred)
Google Ads & Analytics, B2B and digital marketing experience preferred.
Extended hours in front of a computer screen
Repetitive Motions: Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands and/or fingers
Talking: expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word.
Desk space related tasks such as computer work and typing.
Visual inspection of work with close visual acuity and color determination
Results Oriented: Ability to focus on important issues, regularly refocuses on results and demonstrates a drive to exceed performance targets
Interpersonal Skills: Effective communication skills; ability to work effectively in a team environment and to interact with various internal and external customers.
Software: Proficient with Microsoft Word & Excel or Google Docs & Sheets, Social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn & Twitter). Some experience with Adobe Suite (Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere) or similar software.
Strategic Creative Thinking: Effectively structure verbal, written, and visual communication in a way that helps audiences focus on a core message, in an unorthodox or ‘fresh’ perspective way
Writes Effectively: Conveys information clearly and effectively through both formal and informal documents; reviews and edits written work
